Συμπληρώνεται ότι κατά τη διάρκεια των εργασιών, οι ψηφιακές υπηρεσίες του κράτους που απαιτούν σύνδεση μέσω του μηχανισμού CY Login ή αξιοποιούν τους μηχανισμούς αυτούς, δεν θα είναι διαθέσιμες. Cyprus records third-highest share of dangerous goods in road freight transport in the EU, according to Eurostat
Across the European Union, a total of 13.29 billion tonnes of goods were transported by road in 2025, an increase of 1.8% compared with 2024 Cyprus recorded the third-highest share of dangerous goods in road freight transport in the European Union in 2025, accounting for 7.5% of the country’s total road freight transport performance, compared with 4% across the EU, according to data published by Eurostat on Thursday. More specifically, Finland recorded the highest share of dangerous goods in road freight transport, at 9.8%, followed by Ireland at 7.8% and Cyprus at 7.5%. By contrast, the lowest shares were recorded in Lithuania, at 0.7%, and Portugal and Slovakia, at 1.9% each. According to Eurostat, dangerous goods include, among other items, flammable liquids, toxic substances and explosives. The relevant shares are calculated on the basis of tonne-kilometres, which take into account both the weight of the goods and the distance over which they are transported.
